Yoga for all Seasons

As you read the material in this website you may be asking the question “Can I do Yoga?” The answer will almost invariably be YES.

Yoga can be a good choice for anyone whatever their age, shape and size or level of fitness. Whatever their season in life.

Yoga is not a huffing-puffing ordeal but a gentle system of stretching and balancing. The postures (asana) have a beneficial effect on the muscles and joints. The energy that is released through yoga stimulates all the systems of the body.

Yoga is a process towards all-round good health and wellbeing. It supports the correlation between the body, heart and mind. It recognises the need for emotional resilience as much as for physical suppleness. Emotional and physical problems can block our growth as individuals in many ways. Physical and emotional health, however, create a strong foundation for developing and unfolding on all levels of our being – physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.

Yoga for all Seasons is run by Lori Hutton who has been teaching yoga for 17 years. Teaching in the community ranges from primary school age to mature age, community houses to the corporate arena. She presently runs classes in Ballarat and Geelong.

The style of yoga taught is Satyananda Yoga which is an evolving system of yoga but, at the same time, is firmly grounded in the classical yoga tradition. Lori is a karma sannyasin in the Satyananda tradition and is also known by her spiritual name of Tattwasagar.
